  1. Eat a portion of protein with every meal, including snacks.
  2. Choose carbohydrates that are high in fibre with a lower GI.
  3. Include a variety of healthy fats, with a focus on essential fatty acids (mindful days).
  4. Keep fluid levels topped up regularly throughout the day.
  5. Try to avoid drinking caffeine on an empty stomach.
  6. Increase the diversity of phytonutrients with a rainbow diet.
  7. Maintain blood sugar balance by eating when peckish, and not starving.
  8. Avoid skipping meals and include balanced snacks (mindful days).
