Fibre is essential for a healthy digestion, a thriving gut microbiome, hormonal balance – and the secret to effective appetite control. Our founder Gabriela Peacock shares how she uses Fibre capsules and MetaboliseMe™ as a simple way to get the power of fibre into her daily routine.
What’s your approach to weight management and taking control of your appetite?
I like to do intermittent fasting a few days a week, and I use MetaboliseMe™ as a helping hand. When I’m on the move, I use Fibre capsules too. For me, they’re absolutely essential and just an obvious choice, because as well as suppressing my cravings, they add beneficial fibre to my diet. I usually have one sachet of MetaboliseMe™ first thing in the morning and another around 12pm to 1pm – it depends how long I'm fasting for.
Are Fibre capsules and MetaboliseMe different or complementary?
I love both MetaboliseMe™ and Fibre capsules. They’re fantastic because they both contain glucomannan, a natural fibre extract from the konjac plant that reduces cravings and has an EU-approved health claim for weight management. So they’re complementary, but a little different.
MetaboliseMe™ has extra support for energy and blood sugar balance from chromium and a mulberry leaf extract called Reducose®. There’s an amazing study showing how this can reduce blood glucose spikes after you eat by up to 40 percent*. MetaboliseMe™ also has inulin, which is a natural prebiotic fibre that’s great for the friendly bacteria in your gut.
Another difference is just how you take them. MetaboliseMe™ comes as a sachet drink, which some people prefer, while some people will prefer taking the Fibre capsules.
“For me, they’re an obvious choice. They not only suppress my cravings, they add beneficial fibre to my diet.”

How do you use them both in your daily routine?
I prefer to start with MetaboliseMe™ because I like having a morning ritual with a light, refreshing drink, and I really love the citrus flavour. Obviously, I also want that extra mulberry leaf extract, inulin and chromium too. But if I go out or have to run around, I also like to have Fibre capsules with me, because when you’re on the run, you don't have time to look for a glass, et cetera. They're also nice for travelling. So I think it’s just about practicality and personal preference, really. Both of them are great, both of them are convenient.
What difference do you notice from using them consistently?
The difference you notice is definitely reduced cravings. If you're taking MetaboliseMe™ or Fibre about 20 minutes before meals, it will really take away that hunger, so you end up eating less, which is fantastic. The mulberry leaf extract together with chromium in MetaboliseMe™ also helps stop energy dips so you feel more balanced.
But you're also getting all this beneficial fibre into your diet. Fibre is a kind of superfood, linked to so many health properties. It’s absolutely essential for your digestion, your gut microbiome, for a healthy liver and detoxification, for hormonal balance – and of course it’s hugely important for weight control.
“Simple, consistent habits are always more powerful than extremes.”

For someone starting out, how would you suggest they start using Fibre and MetaboliseMe™ without overcomplicating things?
I think it's a very personal preference. Some people don't like pills, but some people love pills because they’re easy. Personally, I prefer MetaboliseMe™ and I love that lovely morning routine.
But, as with everything I recommend, it needs to fit within your lifestyle, because that's the only way it becomes sustainable. They're both great products, so try them both and just see what works for you, and when. Simple, consistent habits are always more powerful than extremes.
If you had to give just one piece of advice to a client about managing their cravings, what would it be?
To prevent cravings, you need to balance your blood sugar levels. So whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or an afternoon snack, every meal needs a portion of protein with a slow-release carbohydrate that’s high in fibre.
So think about your vegetables, your whole grains, good quality breads such as rye or pumpernickel, or rye crackers. These are really good types of carbohydrates which have levels of fibre. Combined with a good quality protein, this will keep your blood sugar levels nice and balanced, preventing cravings and helping you feel steady throughout the day.
Balancing your meals and portions is really the secret, and MetaboliseMe™ and Fibre are really simple ways to help you do that.
